It was a normal workday for Amanda, nothing too special. Other than the fact that she was still thinking about the mysterious stranger who had not wanted to sleep with her. Instead, he went home by himself.
It was more than she could emotionally and intellectually chew. She wasn’t used to men rejecting her sexuality. Nine times out of ten, they would end up drooling all over her luscious body, and on a rare Blue Moon, there would be a guy who would listen to what she has to say but nothing like that. Nothing like she had seen and felt a week before.
She didn’t dare to call him up at once — instead, she wanted to play it cool and nonchalant, just like any other meeting with a man at a bar.
But she couldn’t.
The way he had rejected her and at the same time seen her so deeply — had left a lasting impression on her.
“Should I just call him?” she thought.
“No, I can’t, that would just give him the power,” she instantly rebutted her argument.
After a few minutes of back and forth, she noticed herself picking up Gabriel’s card and phone and dialling his number.
“Dating doctor?” she read on the card “Of course, he is a con artist!” she went on in her head, but it was too late to hang up because the phone was already ringing. “He would dial back,” she thought.
“Yes,” Gabriel answered with a deep voice.
“What do You mean yes? No hello, this is Gabriel?” Amanda thought to herself but instead said “Hi yes this is Amanda, well you don’t really know my name but I’m the woman from the bar about a week ago,” she responded skittishly.
